Dr. Shipu Han joins us from Adelaide in the position of Fire Engineer. Having previously worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide, a Graduate ISG Scientist at NeuRizer Ltd Shipu brings with him significant experience in both mechanical engineering and computational modelling with a keen interest in innovative computer modelling performance-based solutions. Shipu brings a broad knowledge of data analysis and CFD modelling having four years of MATLAB proficiency for image/data processing and over one year experience of CFD modelling using ANSYS CFX/Fluent.
Shiyu (Arin) Zhong joins us as a Fire Engineering Intern while completing her Master’s in Engineering at the University of Queensland, specialising in fire engineering, and set to graduate later this year. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Her Master’s coursework has included both fire and structural engineering, and she is currently working on a thesis that explores the fire-related properties of Australian timber. This combination of academic and practical experiences, encompassing various fire engineering testing methods and familiarity with Australian standards, thoroughly prepares her for a role in fire safety engineering.
Lanbo Lai joins us as a Fire Engineer Intern while completing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Tasmania. He completed his Masters in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Adelaide in 2015. Lanbo brings with him extensive knowledge in 2D/3D drawing and simulation software (ANSYS, Inventor, AutoCAD), proficiency in building and energy system modelling software and fire dynamics simulation software (Pyrosim and Pathfinder). This combination of academic and modelling experience, encompassing various fire engineering applications, provides significant value addition to team SOTERA.
